I like/chose Non-Profit for SOSS because I get to use my skills to support social impact.
But also?
I’ve seen good Systems in non-profit orgs protect great people.
How?
- timeline planning to keep ahead of compliance, reporting, and funding deadlines;
- keeping volunteers engaged and on-brand;
- keeping staff out of jail when the Board went rogue
These weren’t super special Systems; they were basic, but overlooked, ones used consistently.
Non-profit SOSS is how I help Changemakers build a foundation to grow on.
Best time to have me on board?
That timespace where you’re forming your Board and waiting for your 501(c)3 status to be granted. That way when you’re ret ta go, you have onboarding ready for your clients and volunteers, policies established, and a way to have a full picture of compliance items, fundraising events, programs and intake.
